Truth Seekers: Conversations With God Excerpt

One of the books in the Truth Seekers series I'm working on is a collection from my prayer journals that reflect my faith journey. My hope is that you would be encouraged in your walk. To boldly strip to the barest part of you as you seek out the Lover of your soul, Jesus.

Some things within the book are very raw, challenging to hear. While others are the hindsight reflectors, markers of His faithfulness. All of it helps fuel my faith, through the messiest and battle-filled times in my life to the moments of peaceful reflection. He has continued to pursue me, mold me, and strengthen me for a time such as this. It is not easy to be transparent but keeping a mask on, being fake is much harder. Learning to live out loud for an audience of One is a progressive freedom we grow into......

My prayer is that you flourish in Him!

I like revisiting old journal entries from past years every once in awhile.

This particular one is a Journal entry from June 21st, 2017.

Peace – Understanding I am nothing outside of Christ. All things really Are in His control- ultimately His time, His choice, His will, His purposes. He has a way that is beyond comprehension of swaying men's hearts.

I choose You- I can't see, I don't know, really don't understand most things Lord. But I feel You, deep in my Spirit, rising up like the Phoenix. Something grand, too great to ponder on for too long, its very intimidating. I don't fully see how my broken, human, hot mess state is able to be transformed, but its happening. My thoughts are more often on things of You, eternity, deeper meaning, purpose, and destiny, loving others unconditionally where they are, - just as You love me. I’m not amazing as You – but I'm growing and stretching, even when its uncomfortable. Choosing right even when my flesh feels otherwise. You give me strength to forgive, rise above wrong attitudes and thoughts.

You amaze me.

I love that You are concerned for me. Your intentions and plans for me are always pure and to give me a future and hope.

Your love for me is, I can't find words. Its too much, overwhelming. You continue to pursue me.
