The First Sin from man was enacted, bringing about spiritual and physical death, a separation from the Presence and communion with the Father. Furthermore, The Fall also introduced disobedience, rebellion, blaming, lying, deception, disunity, dysfunction, lust, spiritual blindness, death, trial, pain both from working the land and childbearing, murder, rage, wrath, hate, and so on…. In this we see the progression of the increase of wickedness and unrighteousness. Individuals look to blame one another, rather than being accountable. Segregation and disunity in the world, even in the Church is rampant. Hate crimes are on the rise. Men and women increasingly being deceived and choosing the lust of the flesh in matters of sexuality and issues related to sexual depravity in all its forms (Romans 1:27, KJV). Individuals chained by addiction, seemingly to everything available under the sun. Apathy for human life. A lack of passion for the Truth. All things of this world are momentarily gaining increase as we grow closer to Jesus’ return (Matthew 24:1-2; 2 Timothy 3:1-5, KJV). More and more, people are out for self, forgetting God and being apathetic toward one another and life itself (2 Timothy 3:1-5, KJV).
Diverse situations people encounter illuminates the consequences of The First Sin. For example, we can take a more Biblical approach to identifying the roots of abuse, on any level, in the home. Think about the neglected family member who is ignored, unnurtured. This can be traced back to the curse of the serpent’s head and the woman’s heel and continued onto the conflict between Cain and Able (Genesis 3:15 & 4:1-26, KJV). This could be a generational manifestation of the division, jealousy, anger, envy, and other sins of the flesh. How about the spouse who experiences betrayal by their mate? This can be traced back to the original blame game between Adam and Eve and the serpent in the Garden, and their unified betrayal of the Perfect relationship that Abba created (Genesis 3:12-13, KJV). What about a person who doubts their DNA, their God-designed gender? This is rooted in the lust of the flesh, in the doubt in God, and pride of life; that the created knows more than the Creator (Genesis 1:27-28 & 3:1-7, KJV).
Various natural life, and fallen human issues are faced daily. The condition of the world continues to worsen because of the rift in relationships that began with the Fall of mankind. Our only Hope is Christ. In Christ we are redeemed, able to approach Abba boldly, overcome the flesh, be transformed by the Word, grow in the Spirit, and expand the Kingdom of God (Romans 12:1-3; Galatians 6:1-10; Titus 2:13-14; Hebrews 4:16, KJV). We must repair relationships. Beginning with Abba and extending to one another (Mark 12:30-31, KJV). All things through Christ, led by the Spirit, to glorify Abba, in Love and displayed by good works (Isaiah 43:7; Romans 8:14; 1 Corinthians 10:31 & 13:4-13; Ephesians 2:10; Philippians 4:13, KJV). We can choose. Because of God’s unfailing love for us, shown by the giving of His Only Begotten Son, and through the obedience of Christ unto death, on the very Cross where He shed His Blood for you and I…. Because of Christ’s overcoming of death, hell, and the grave, and because He is Risen and sitting at the Father’s Right Hand…..Because we are adopted, grafted into the Body……Because He is the Great I AM…..Because of His unfailing Love……Because Love is not Love without choice…….HE gave us a choice so We can choose Him… He made a Way so we could choose to be in relationship with Him.
