Abba intended to live in constant fellowship for Eternity with His children (Genesis 1 Ezekiel 37:27; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Revelation 21, KJV). Humans were also made to be in relationship with each other. Consider the relationship between Adam and Eve. Abba created man and decided it was “… not good that man should be alone”, (Genesis 2:18-25, KJV). After parading all the animals before Adam to name, God saw that none were suitable as a mate. God put man into a deep sleep and took one of his ribs to form Eve; woman (Genesis 2:20-23, KJV). It is important to note that man and woman were made to be in relationship with one another, “… and they shall be one flesh” (Genesis 2:24, KJV). Eve was created to be Adam’s help mate, helper.
It is worth mentioning that the Holy Spirit is also called Helper and Counselor (Psalm 33:20; John 14:26; Romans 8:26; Hebrews 13:6, KJV), There is an intentional correlation between Eve, Adam’s helpmate and how women bear this Divine Image, this reflection of God’s Character as represented prominently through the Image of the Holy Spirit.
However, the devil is our enemy intent on twisting everything the Lord made and set in motion (Isaiah 14:12; Ezekiel 28:13-17; Luke 10:15; Revelation 12:7-9, KJV). Satan knows and sees Abba’s Love for man, and this enrages him because he covets God’s Throne and worship for himself (Ezekiel 28:13-17, KJV). Since the devil cannot take Abba’s throne, he tries to take His children, Abba’s own heart. The enemy’s intent is always to kill, steal, and destroy and he has many tricks and schemes to set this in motion (John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 2:11; 2 Timothy 2:26; Revelation 20:10, KJV). This was his intent when influencing Eve to eat from the tree and disobey Abba (Genesis 3:1-24, KJV). He was using the fallibility and blindness of the created to hurt the Creator.
We are His treasured possession (Deuteronomy 7:6’ 14:2; 26:18; Psalm 135:4; Malachi 3:17; Titus 2:14, KJV), The enemy is very aware of this. One of satan’s many schemes is to influence humans to doubt Abba (Genesis 3:1-24; KJV). This was one of the ways he tricked Eve. He also introduced pride in an ‘I can be like God; all knowing’ suggestive influential way that made it appealing and sounding good, but it was actually the beginning of death. (Genesis 3:5, KJV). Sin, the pride of life, and the lusts of the flesh separated man from perfect and complete union with Abba (Isaiah 59:2, KJV). This was the beginning of mortality for mankind and creation itself (Genesis 3:17-19, KJV).
