Thoughts in my heart today....

Ponderings for the day

Is God not still God in the good and the bad? The lean and the plentiful times?

God is still God ALL THE TIME!

Those who persist in trusting God WILL be rewarded.

Job is a book in the Old Testament. One of the foundational truths I’ve gleaned is from reading is that this book establishes God’s Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent over all things, including who can and how much one can be attacked by the enemy. It is one example of how our Creator is able to ‘work all things together for His glory and our good,’ as Paul so confidently points out in Romans 8:28.

Job 41:10b-11 is part of a response God was giving to Job and I am sure that it would be individually beneficial for each interested in digging deeper to invest the time in reading the book of Job. It is a heavy book with some really hard to grasp truths as the narrative plays out. It may also inspire more questions, which is EXACTLY what I’m hoping. I do not mind helping dig with you for the sake of understanding and drawing near to God. Feel free to post questions under my blog and I will work on them and we can see what the Lord leads us to through the Word. We can also outsource to other wise and spiritually mature elders in the faith to be sure that we are open to growth and truth, not leaning on our own understanding.

Thank you for engaging. Please remember to be respectful.

Job 10b-11 – though God is speaking directly to Job, His answer applies to all of creation, all humankind.

10b“who then is able to stand before me?

11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.”
