When I was small

I had one request

To be with my mom

It always felt best

So I know how

My children must feel

Lost and alone

The pain is so real

The longer it takes

The deeper the hole

The pain creates

Down in the soul

Please dear Lord

Have compassion

Hear our cries

Our tears of passion

With Your help

We can be together

Begin to heal

Stronger than ever

Please build up

What’s been torn down

Build it on Jesus

Our solid ground
