Isaiah 61:7

It’s a seeking, a searching for the place and space

Of that childlike, unassuming, innocent, excited, animated, JOYFUL state

Before…..

Before I saw the demonic and felt its touch

Before my identity was buried under the darkness

Before he hurt me

Before he lied to me and said that was all I was worth

Before I was not believed when I told them he was hurting me

Before I was taken to foster homes and hurt even more

Before he said he loved me but used me, hurt me, and left me

Before my child lay breathless in my arms

Before they interrogated me while he laid mere feet away in the ambulance

Before the doctor asked me to sit down

Before he said “I’m sorry, we did all we could”

Before I saw my first born, my baby on that table with tubes coming from his mouth

Before I touched his cold and stiff body

Before my entire world died that day

Before all I thought I knew faded away

Before the enemy told me it was my fault

Before I believed him.

Thank You for Truth

Thank You for Freedom

Thank You for Deliverance

Thank You for Forgiveness

Thank You for New Life

Thank You for being my Champion

Thank You for being my Healer

Thank You for being my Savior

Oh my God, my Lord, my Abba – Please continue to restore that childlike faith, that purity of Joy, that expectation of creativity, and Life more Abundantly.
