So much more. These are some of the Characteristics of God and manifested through us by the Holy Spirit. It’s who He is and it’s our choice to be like Him.

We are made in His image.

“So, God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27 (NIV)

These are gifts you can’t buy or earn, these are choices, not feelings. Only one cannot truly receive or give these gifts without having God’s Spirit inside. Jesus did not leave us as orphans.

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see Me anymore, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.” John 14:18-20 (NIV)

Be encouraged. Your emotions do not have to rule you. The Father's gift of free will allows you to choose, Jesus gives the example, and the Holy Spirit empowers us as we learn to consistently choose God. Choose to rise above the emotional rollercoaster. Treat others well despite how you feel. God will honor your choices and heal your emotions. How will they know our Savior if we treat people as the world does?

“By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35 (NIV)
