Dealing with life and personal things? Keep trying to handle it like usual? According to Albert Einstein, the definition of insanity is “doing the same things over and over but expecting different results.”
Here are a few alternatives I've found personally helpful to stop the insanity: Can't sleep? - Read the Word Feeling restless? - Worship Dealing with unresolved hurts and disappointments? - Pray for those who hurt you. Decide to allow God to heal both of you.
Confused, don't know what to do? Ask for direction and LISTEN, He will lead you.
God is ALWAYS there. He's waiting for you to trust Him. He wants you to stop trying so hard to "MAKE" things happen. God is Peace, and Jesus is the Peace He gives. Sometimes we must shut ourselves and minds down from the race of life and get quiet. We need a specific depth of intentional focus, a time of asking and being still to listen to Him. We should not ask and then take back over. Trust that He is I AM. He made the Earth and all that is in it, in 6 days, and rested on the 7th. I promise He is able and desires to care for you …. if you'll let Him.
“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB).
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps”. Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are unified in ‘working all things together.’ Your responsibility, your ‘work’ is to believe and follow, even when you cannot see with your natural eyes or imagine with your finite human thinking. BELIEVE God anyway. God has never lied. The very fact that you are still breathing, even after all you have been through, is proof.
“And we know that ALL things work together for the good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
What do you hope for? Remember if you could naturally ‘see’ it, faith wouldn’t be necessary.
Be blessed and be a blessing to others. Trust in Him. Share your faith today, someone else needs Hope.
