Perspective shift – Faith and Fact

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:1-3 & 6(KJV)

Faith is NOT denying Fact. Faith is NOT a Feeling. Faith is facing fact and choosing to believe and walk in God's promises despite the lack of factual, natural, and/or visual evidence. "Faith cannot fix what you don't face." Pastor Steven Furtick. Abraham did not deny the fact that His reproductive organs were dead at the age of 100. He even verbally acknowledged the state of his physical condition. He looked dead on at the “natural” situation. This did not stop his CHOICE to BELIEVE in God's promise that He would make him the father of many nations. He was rewarded for His faith and it was counted to him as righteousness. I am of the house of Abraham, as are all who believe. Faith is proven by following God, living in the hope of His manifested promises. Walking as if you believe what Abba has declared.

Scripture says, “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise, also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:14-26 (KJV)

Faith requires both honesty AND obedience to activate transformation in your life. This is Hard TRUTH and Ridiculous GRACE.

Be blessed and be a blessing. Agape love is contagious.
