Perspective shift – Don’t Waste the Grace

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 21-24 (NKJV) This describes our natural human condition and position outside of God’s grace and the Blood of Christ. Too many people see or use this passage as an excuse or crutch to continue to live in sin. Friends, this should be a realization that we cannot be in right relationship with the Father outside of Jesus. This should also inspire a response of thankfulness for Jesus sacrifice, which should lead us to desire to live a God honoring life. God is concerned about your heart’s condition. Are you one, whose heart’s response and mindset is “Oh well” everyone does it' or “Oh well” we all fall short? If that is the attitude of your heart, you are denying the very power and gift given to you. The only finite human way I can convey what I mean, would be a parenting situation. Kind of like when you buy an expensive gift for your child. The same day he leaves it on the porch, and it rains. When confronted, your child responds, 'Oh well, just buy me a new one'. Just think on that a moment.

Jesus Gave His Life for You! Is that how you are going to respond to God’s gift? Is this the response of your heart and mind? “Oh well,”

If so, have you really considered his sacrifice, the price He paid? The cost was HIS LIFE. He can't go out and 'buy' a new one, the price is already paid throughout Eternity. That should inspire you to live your life for God. In reflection, the phrase “we all fall short” should be the point where we realize our need for God’s mercy and grace. Please don’t use our fallibility as a crutch or excuse to live in sin. Be blessed today. Life and Grace are precious and should be considered gifts. Be kind, it's contagious!
