“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
Goals are not achieved in one day. First, they are born in the heart, placed there by God. Everything you do to reach goals are done through the consistency of taking one proactive step at a time, being mindful of your destination, with God honoring steadfastness. Remembering while we walk, all we really have is this moment. So, use today to do all you do with the intention of glorifying God, with thanksgiving.
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV)
This state of heart and mind will allow your faith and trust to be rightly placed in the One who placed those desires in your heart. We are to trust Him with the results of our heart, mind, spirit, emotions, goals, life, etc. Seek Him FIRST, not after your plans fail or there's a hiccup. Seek HIM first.
“Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 (ESV)
“May He grant you according to your heart’s desires and fulfill all your purpose.” Psalm 20:4 (NKJV)
Outside of Him we can do nothing. So, why do we still think we can? We cannot even draw breath, that He does not give.
“For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Acts 17:28 (NKJV)
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7 (NKJV)
Friends, seek God, live and work as unto the Lord in thanksgiving. Let us not complain. Our very breath is a blessing, a gift from Abba Daddy. Remember, we are not promised tomorrow.
“Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” James 4:15 (NKJV)
Life is too short and fleeting to live and walk about mindlessly. You should be about seeking to become, achieve, grow, and develop into the very best version of yourself. Not forgetting to be dependent upon the Grace of God, thankful for forgiveness and newness of life in Christ Jesus. Be sensitive, yield to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. This is God honoring. Be blessed today. May God richly bless you, soften your heart, and continue the work He began.
