Peace

As I sit here freely,

In the sun and air

I look all around me,

Offering You a grateful prayer.

I am learning how

To live a brand-new life,

Free from a past

I no longer have to fight.

I am a New Creation

Living in the Lord,

Feeding my spirit

With Your Holy Word.

I have this inner peace

That only God can give,

I never really knew

How much I wanted to live.

Thank You Lord for showing me

How to trust in You,

This Life You have given me

Is bright and fresh and new.
